The Good of Sisterhood: Dedicated to all the Sisters in my Tribe now, and Yet to Be

The Good of Sisterhood

 Sisterhood
“Women who understand how powerful they are do not give into envy over meaningless things, instead they fight to maintain the beautiful bond of the sisterhood. These are the real women who know that we need each other’s love and support to survive in this world. Love is the essence of being a woman. We must be that light of love that seals the bond and unique beauty of our sisterhood.” -Bindu

Thank you to the sisters in my sisterhood.

“You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains

You raise me up to walk on stormy seas

I am strong when I am on your shoulders

You raise me up to more than I can be”

……….

This is for all you women who have been there for me,

This is for all you women who have stood up for me,

for the women who have stood beside me,

for the women who have followed me,

for the women who have led me,

for the women I admire,

 for the women I mentor,

for the women who mentor me,

This is for the women who held my hand and jumped into the fires of life with me

This is for the women who jumped into the joys of my journey as well,

for the women who smile when they see me

laugh when we’re together

love no matter what….

This is for the women who accept me as I am

For the women who love me for me, faults, foibles and all,

This is for the women who listened to my crying tears,

and for the women who laughed big huge belly laughs with me,

This for the women who have let me lean, sit, stand and jump off their shoulders,

This is for the women who have been through troubles near and far,

For the women who have sat with me for moments,

or those who have sat with me for many days.

This is for the women who fed me when I had nothing,

Who fed me more than food they fed passions, fire of life, harmony and joy,

This is for the women who helped calm my restless heart,

and let me cry huge sobs of incoherent conversations through tears,

This for the Goddesses, Brave Girls, Right Brainers,  When I Grow Uppers, Declaration of You-ers, and Blue Jean Business, Eat, Pray, Lover-ers, the Danielle La Port-ers, Blissbombed-ers, Brene Brown-ers, Jaime Ridler-ers, Michelle Ward-ers, Jessica Swift-ers, Carolyn Rubinstein-ers, Susan B Moe-ers and more…

This is for those women who guided me to

soul restoration, to follow my dreams, declare my intentions

and taught me how to protect my soul house (No matter what),

This is for the women who lived their life for me

sacrificing, working, travelling, housing me, etc

so that I could have a life full of joy and passion

who donated fabric, gems, jewels, and more

so that I may reach for MY dreams,

This is for the women who  may not even know,

how much their life, their smile, their giving, their helping, their love

helped me, encouraged me, kept me moving forward

in a running forward progression at times

because of their cheers, their comments online, their likes and shares and retweets

their love, their gifts, their attendance at my events,

because of these women, I was raised up.

Your shoulders held me up

more than you will EVER know

I wish I was able to allow you

for but a moment to feel how FULL my heart is

because YOU were in it

because YOU were my cheerleader

Because YOU were there

to raise me up

YOU were there to let me stand on your shoulders

because YOU were there to help me walk on stormy seas

Because YOU were there…..

Hear me out…

BECAUSE YOU WERE THERE

YOU

RAISED ME UP

TO BE

MORE THAN

I COULD BE!!

Thank you, love you, forevermore, and to infinity

Thank you!

Because of you,

I was raised up

to more than I could ever be!!

When I am down, and, oh, my soul, so weary
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

There is no life, no life without it’s hunger
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly
But then you come, and I am filled with wonder
Sometimes I think I glimpse eternity

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

You raise me up to more than I can be
